It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 2nd Asia Pacific Veterinary Parasitology Congress (APVPC) 2026, taking place in Bangkok, Thailand.
Building on the momentum of our inaugural congress, APVPC 2026 continues to provide a regional platform for discussion and knowledge exchange among veterinary parasitology community across the Asia-Pacific. The theme for this year, “One Health in Motion: Tackling Zoonotic and Vector-Borne Parasites in a Changing Asia-Pacific,” reflects the growing recognition that parasitic diseases affecting animals, humans, and ecosystems are closely linked, and that effective control requires coordinated efforts across disciplines.
The scientific programme focuses on issues relevant to the region, including the surveillance, diagnosis, treatment, and control of zoonotic and vector-borne parasites. Sessions will feature research updates, case studies, and practical insights shared by experts from academia, clinical practice, government, and industry.
In addition to scientific sessions, the congress provides opportunities for networking and professional exchange, supporting collaboration across countries and disciplines. These interactions are essential for strengthening regional capacity and advancing effective parasite control strategies.
We look forward to welcoming you to APVPC 2026 and to advancing veterinary parasitology together in a rapidly changing Asia-Pacific region.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Assoc. Prof. Piyanan Taweethavonsawat
